Privacy Notice

1. Scope

This notice explains how the operator of PolyVerse Market (“PolyVerse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through our public website, waitlist, account and authentication features, Arena, wallet and market activity, notifications, privacy controls, support, and analytics. It should be read with our Terms of Use.

2. Information we collect

Account and access information

We process information used to create, secure and administer an account, including email address, account identifier, sign-in and verification status, multi-factor authentication status, eligibility and policy confirmations, profile settings, and security events.

Waitlist and referrals

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, consent choice and version, the fictional world or source you joined from, signup times, a random referral code, referral attribution, and email-confirmation status. We normalize email addresses so repeat submissions remain one waitlist entry. Public leaderboard labels are pseudonymous and do not expose email addresses.

Arena and funds activity

When you use the Arena, we process calls, outcomes, accepted positions and stakes, authenticated quote requests and rate-limit signals, wallet addresses, balances and transactions, event interactions, and the records needed to lock, settle, audit and prove results. The interface separately identifies whether the active funds environment is TestNet or real value.

Preferences, communications and support

We process follows, notification choices and delivery records, privacy-control requests, and information you provide when you ask for support or send feedback.

Usage and technical information

We may process request and security logs, approximate network and device information, browser type, referring site, campaign information, and actions taken in the Service. For landing-page measurement, PostHog Cloud EU receives an anonymous browser-session identifier, a limited set of funnel actions, the selected fictional world, and basic browser and device metadata. We do not send your waitlist email address to PostHog. Session replay and automatic click or text capture are disabled.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide and secure the website, waitlist and account;
• operate the Arena, wallet, quotes, positions, settlement and result proof;
• deliver notifications, access updates and support;
• prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts and manipulation, and investigate reliability or safety issues;
• measure use, understand referrals and improve the Service; and
• comply with law and enforce our terms and policies.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, performance of our agreement or steps you request, our legitimate interests in operating, measuring and protecting the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Market signals and quote inference

People picked and Pool backing are derived from accepted positions. Public views are designed not to reveal participant identities or exact participant counts, and signals may be bucketed or suppressed. We do not promise that aggregation prevents every inference.

Eligible signed-in participants may request short-lived, rate-limited projected-return quotes. Comparing quotes—especially in a thin pool—may allow someone to infer approximate aggregate or side-specific backing. Quotes do not reveal participant identities or exact participant counts.

5. When information is shared or public

We use providers for identity, databases, hosting, email, analytics, AI, media processing and blockchain infrastructure. They may process information as needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the Service, or as part of a corporate transaction.

Arena pages may publicly show event activity, result proof and bucketed or suppressed market signals. If a transaction is written to a public blockchain, its wallet addresses, token movements and transaction data may be publicly visible and copied by others. A public blockchain is outside our control, and we cannot delete or change information recorded there.

6. Browser preferences and analytics

The website may remember limited choices on your device, such as the selected world, audio, data-saver and reduced-motion settings, and a random analytics session identifier. You can clear these through your browser settings, although doing so may reset your experience.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing accounts and requested communications, operating and auditing markets, maintaining security and integrity, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. The period depends on the type of information, the sensitivity and risk, operational needs, and applicable law.

We may retain limited records of consent, unsubscribe choices, security events, transactions or deletion requests when needed to honor a choice or protect the Service. Data may remain temporarily in backups, and public-blockchain records may persist outside our control. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

9. Your choices and rights

You can use the unsubscribe link in a PolyVerse email to stop receiving marketing or waitlist updates and manage available notification and privacy choices through your account controls. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, or to withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Some information may be retained where needed for security, transaction integrity, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Information already written to a public blockchain cannot be erased by PolyVerse.

10. International processing

Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use safeguards intended to protect information transferred across borders.

11. Children

The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have done so, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

12. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the Service and our practices change. We will post the revised version and effective date here, and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects you.
